2017 TOACA Grants Awarded

On April 11, 2017, The Exchange Club of Omaha was honored to present 100% of the proceeds raised in our 2016 TOACA (Tee Off Against Child Abuse) to Omaha area Non-Profit Agencies whose programs aid in the prevention of child abuse in our community. Over $15,000 in grants were awarded to the following organizations:

*Project Harmony - Darkness to Light Program

*RESPECT - In-school Theatrical Programs (child abuse, bullying, internet safety, etc)

*Child Saving Institute - Parent-Child Interaction Training






2014 Tee Off Against Child Abuse     Grants are Awarded
The 2014 Tee Off Against Child Abuse (TOACA) Grants were awarded at the May 13, 2014 Luncheon meeting at Happy Hollow Country CLub. Dennis Pfeffer, chair of theTOACA GrantCommittee,presented the grants to representatives of five area organizations that provide child prevention abuse programs. Each organization discussed the programs the grants will help support in the coming year.

2013 TOACA Grants Distributed
Kimberly Swassing presented TOACA grants to four area organizations for support ofChild Abuse Prevention Programs at the April 23, 2013 Exchange Club meeting. Each organization shared how their grants will be used. Since 1989 the Exchange Club Foundation has granted $250,000 for area Child Abuse Prevention Programs.

TOACA Grants 2012

   

Dennis Pfeffer announced and presented TOACA (Tee off Against Child Abuse) Grants to four Omaha Agencies at the April 24, 2012 meeting. 
Each agency provided a brief description of how their organization will use the grant funds presented to them.

 

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.  Since 1989 the Exchange Club of Omaha has awarded in excess of $236,000 to area agencies to fund Child Abuse Prevention programs. The bulk of these funds have been sourced by the annual TOACA golf tournament.

           support their Healthy Families Program at their North Omaha Center.

 

Girls Inc. representative, Trudy Heartline, provided information about the Kidability

                              Program the 2012 TOACA Grant will help fund.

TOACA Grants 2011

 


Four agencies were presented TOACA (Tee Off Against Child Abuse) Grants.  The Grants were presented to Girls Incorporated of Omaha, Heartland Family Services, Lutheran Family Services, and Project Harmony.  Each agency will use these funds to provide programs to help reduce child abuse in the Omaha metropolitan area.

2008 TOACA (Tee Off Against Child Abuse) Grants Presented

 

At the April 22nd meeting six local agencies were awarded grants for future child abuse prevention programs.  Representatives from each agency provided brief descriptions of how their grants will be used.   Included are representatives from Voices for Children, Catholic Charities, Girls Inc., Heatrland Family Services, Project Harmony, and Uta Halee Girls Village.  The Exchange Club is proud to support these organizations and their child abuse prevention programs.

TOACA Grants Presented April 24, 2007

 

Tee Off Against Child Abuse (TOACA) 2007 grants were presented at the April 24th
meeting by Steve Weidenhammer.  Representatives from Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Project
Harmony, and the YWCA were on hand to receive their 2007 grants. 

 

These grants are made possible by proceeds from the TOACA golf outing each fall.  The
grants are presented to nonprofit organizations with programs, goals and expertise
dedicated to the prevention of child abuse.

 

Since 1989 $167,000  have been provided to 27 Omaha area organizations through TOACA
grants.
